Job Description

The purpose of the Banquet Houseperson position is to set, maintain and refresh all banquet meeting rooms, dining rooms, and other spaces as needed in the Morris Inn Hotel and NDCC according to the specifications of the Banquet Event Order form and company standards. The Banquet-Set Up Associate must ensure that all banquet and meeting rooms are properly set up and tore down in a safe and timely manner.

Specifically, setting up meeting rooms, dining rooms and any public spaces as needed with the appropriate equipment and materials, including tables, chairs, linens, A/V equipment or supplies, bars, and any other items requested by the client. (ie. Podiums, dance floor, etc.). Emptying trash from all function areas and banquet service areas. Changing linen, and putting it in the correct areas for cleaning by linen company.
Vacuuming, dusting and any other cleaning duties needed after all functions in meeting rooms. Cleaning and mopping of storerooms and any other area as directed by Supervisor or Managers.

Minimum Qualifications

Display a courteous, helpful, and professional manner when greeting and providing assistance to guests of the hotel and conference center following the AAA Four Diamond guidelines and standards of the Morris Inn. Must have ability to bend, walk and be on feet for extended period of time. Must be able to be flexible and adjust to building and guest needs.
