Job Title Postdoctoral Scholar in Multidisciplinary Research Lab
Job Description

Prof. Jeremiah Zartman in the Dept. of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at the University of Notre Dame is seeking applicants for the position of post-doctoral researcher.

Prof. Zartman runs a highly interdisciplinary research lab with a focus on quantitative analysis of multicellular systems.

Specific areas include quantitative developmental biology, signal transduction, and cell and tissue engineering.

Duration: 1 year appointment with the potential for renewal appointment based on research progress and funding.

Minimum Qualifications

Two sets of separate qualifications are sought. Candidates qualified with either set will be considered.

1. Ph.D. in Cell, Molecular or Developmental Biology or related Biological Sciences field. Experience with Drosophila genetics, cell culture or Synthetic Biology is a plus.

2. Ph.D. in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical or Electrical), Physics or Computer Science, Mechanical, Electrical, or Bio-engineering with significant research background in computational modeling and programming. Experience in control theory and systems identification is a strong plus.

Applicants should be innovative, self-motivated researchers who have a strong publication record from their PhD and/or previous post-doctoral positions.
